Trials and Miracles in the Book of Exodus (Shmot)

“As we teach the Book of Exodus, we attempt to help each child find links between the values in the Biblical narrative and those in his/her own world, so that the learning has personal meaning for all.” The curriculum places an emphasis on the personality, actions and deliberations of Moses and other main characters. Teachers are offered a diverse range of commentary and hands-on activities that encourage understanding and assimilation of the texts. A source book for students is appended to the curriculum, with informative and enriching passages and relevant texts from classic Jewish sources as well as modern Hebrew and general literature.
