Support Keshet

The Keshet Association is a nonprofit organization that was founded 15 years ago together with the Keshet School in Jerusalem. The Association's mission is to establish educational frameworks which encourage a broad spectrum of perspectives regarding Jewish values and culture. The Association activities include guiding the existing Keshet Schools (currently in three different geographic locations in the country), assisting in establishing new Keshet Schools in Israel, designing curricula, providing in-service and pre-service training programs for teachers, and leading assorted activities with parents.

The Keshet Schools are educational communities dedicated to building a pluralistic approach to Israeli society. By addressing needs and sensitivities of Israel's many religious and secular populations, Keshet aims to create environments that promote mutual respect and understanding, effectively eliminating the concept of “the other" that fragments and destabilizes Israel. Our goals are to

• Distribute our model of education and make it accessible to many communities in Israel (remove all periods at the end of these non-sentences)
• Strengthen our existing Keshet schools by providing teacher training and curricula
• Train a new generation of teachers who will specialize in Humanistic Judaism
• Support and develop the Keshet Campus in Jerusalem as a role model
• Publish and distribute our unique curricula to regular public schools in the country
• Translate our curricula for the use of pluralistic schools in the US
• Create meaningful connections between the Keshet schools and other pluralistic schools in Israel and abroad

The Association’s budget consists of government, municipal, and private funds.
